Event
The Red Rock Canyon race day on January 24, 2026, offers three distances:
- Marathon
- 1/2 Marathon
- 5K
The event is held on Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive in Las Vegas, NV, within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The scenic drive used for the courses is a 13 mile paved loop through desert and sandstone formations.
Course and logistics
The Marathon starts near the exit of the scenic drive at about 3,800 feet elevation and climbs to a summit overlook at about 4,771 feet by roughly mile 8.6. The Half Marathon starts near the Visitors Center at about 3,740 feet and also reaches the summit overlook. The 5K follows an out-and-back on the scenic drive from the exit area. The courses are run on a public roadway and runners share one quarter of the lane; cones and signage are used. There is no participant or spectator parking at Red Rock Canyon. Busing is provided from a free main lot at West Career and Technical Academy and from a contracted pick-up on the Las Vegas Strip. Drop-off at the park is allowed under specified conditions.
Aid stations and awards
Aid stations provide water and Gatorade at listed mile splits for each distance; some stations are designated "ULTRA" and also offer gels and electrolyte pills. Toilets are placed about every 3 miles. All finishers receive medals. Overall and age-group awards are given and are based on gun time.
