Turkey Rock
Turkey Rock is an annual Thanksgiving morning running event held at Floyd Lamb Park, Group Area 5, 9200 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. The event offers three distances:
- 10K - two laps of the 5K course
- 5K
- 1 mile walk
The course is an out and back that begins on the path at Group Area 5 and follows a crushed limestone basin trail. Runners pass desert landscape, shaded picnic areas, and views of the Sheep and Spring Mountains. The course starts at 2462 ft elevation and has an overall 35 foot gain. Trail shoes are not required.
Participant benefits include a custom long sleeve shirt, a custom large medal, free race photos, chip timing with live results, and overall and age-division awards. The top three male and female finishers in the 10K and 5K receive overall awards. Age division ribbons are awarded for 1st through 3rd in standard age groups; awards must be picked up on race day and will not be mailed.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at REI Boca Park in the Community Room, 710 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89145. Friends or family may pick up packets on behalf of participants.
Parking is available in dirt Lot 5 and Lot 4, with overflow in Lots 3 and 2. The paved Lot 5 is reserved for staff. Parking fees are included in registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
