Red Pepper 5K Run
The Red Pepper 5K Run takes place on March 7, 2026, on St. George Island as part of the 44th Annual St. George Island Charity Chili Cookoff. The start line is located in front of Paddy's Raw Bar on the island.
Entry fees are listed as $30.00 per adult and $25.00 per person 18 and under. All entrants receive a t-shirt. Awards are given to the first place male and first place female overall, the first male and first female St. George Island residents, and the top three finishers in five year age groups.
Sponsorship for the 5K is handled through a $150 donation; sponsors receive logo placement on the back of the 5K t-shirt and two t-shirts. The Chili Cookoff weekend is presented in support of the St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department and contributes to that department's budget.
