14th Annual Red Hot Run 5K and Family Fun Walk
The Red Hot Run 5K and Family Fun Walk is a community event held in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Roland Park Country School. The event offers multiple participation options for runners and walkers of different ages.
The available event categories include:
- 5K
- Family Fun Walk
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual Family Fun Walk
- Hibernating Bear
The 5K course starts on Roland Avenue and follows a route through the local area, including Northern Parkway, Kenwood Road, and Club Road, before finishing back at the school driveway. This course features a water stop and mile markers. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the 5K course for safety reasons, though strollers are allowed during the Family Fun Walk. Virtual options allow participants to complete their distance at any location over the race weekend and upload their results online. The "Hibernating Bear" category is available for those who wish to support the event and receive a shirt without participating in the physical activity.
A post-race celebration takes place on-site, featuring awards, games, refreshments, snacks, face painting, and a photo booth. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K, as well as the top finishers in various age categories from 10 and under to 60 and over.
All proceeds from the event benefit The Fund for Roland Park Country School. Participants who register by April 6, 2026, are eligible to receive a premium short-sleeve shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
