Red Cedar Jubilee .5K (ish)
The Red Cedar Jubilee .5K (ish) is a short community running and walking event held in Williamston, Michigan. It is presented as the first annual edition and is billed at roughly 0.5 kilometers (about 500 meters) along the main street of Williamston. The event is organized to benefit There's Always Room – Ingham County Foster Closet, with proceeds directed to that local foster care support organization.
Red Cedar Transfers is the presenting sponsor and provides event apparel and stickers; the organizer states that every dollar raised will go directly to the foster closet. Registration has a fee of $20. Registered participants receive a 0.5K (ish) T-shirt, a custom race sticker, and a $5 chip to use at the food and beverage tent. Registrants who sign up by June 11 are guaranteed a shirt for race day; later registrants will pick up shirts from Red Cedar Transfers after the event.
Packet pick up is handled at the Red Cedar Jubilee Food and Beverage Tent. The event encourages festive attire such as costumes, inflatables, hats, or face paint, and all participants are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize. The run takes place as part of the Red Cedar Jubilee activities in Williamston and uses locations on or near Main Street and the listed event area at 200 Mechanic St, Williamston, MI 48895.
