Event Overview
The Red Caboose Wine Run 5k is a timed running and walking event. It takes place at the Red Caboose Winery in Meridian, Texas. The winery produces award-winning wines from estate-grown grapes.
Registration Details
Entry is open to participants aged 1 to 99. Standard registration includes:
- A soft cotton t-shirt.
- A shatterproof, collapsible wine glass.
- A finisher medal that also functions as a wine stopper.
- A race bib for chip timing.
- A pour of wine.
Participants aged 1 to 20 are eligible for a discounted registration rate, which excludes the wine glass and wine pour.
Event Logistics
Packet pickup is scheduled for race day only, opening one hour before the event starts. The race is professionally timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online. The event is open to walkers, runners, and joggers. Friendly dogs are allowed on a leash. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to potentially uneven ground on the course; children in strollers do not need to register.
Awards and Charity
Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard 10-year age brackets. A local charity, Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK), is the event's partner.
