Red Barn Challenge : October 2 to 3, 2026, Lykens PA
The Red Barn Challenge is a multi-distance timed running event held at Marzella Farm in Lykens, Pennsylvania. The event is listed as the seventh annual running of the Red Barn Challenge and takes place over the two calendar days of October 2 to 3, 2026. Registration closes September 11, 2026; refunds are available at 50 percent until July 1, 2026.
The course is a one mile loop with about 70 feet of elevation gain per lap. Terrain is mostly grass with areas of mulch and stone and the loop runs around ponds and fields. The event uses chip timing.
Aid is provided at a large food station offering typical ultrarunning fare including potatoes, rice, broth, hydration options including TAILWIND Hydration, and additional items. Camping is available for the entire weekend with campsites and parking located trackside for easy access.
Awards are presented to the top male and female in each time bracket and to other notable participants. The event supports local organizations including Wiconisco Fire Company and Our Valley's Area athletics programs.
