Event Overview
The Red Barn Challenge is a timed running event held on October 2-3, 2026, at Marzella Farm in Lykens, Pennsylvania. It is the 7th annual edition of the event. The course is a one-mile loop around the farm's ponds and fields.
Course Details
Participants run a one-mile loop. The terrain is mostly grass and mulch with some stone. Each lap has an elevation change of approximately 70 feet.
Race Format & Support
The event offers timed races: 24 hours, 12 hours, and 6 hours. All participants finish together. The event is chip-timed. There is a food aid station described as vast, offering typical ultra running fare like potatoes, rice, broth, and hydration, including Tailwind nutrition products. Camping is available for the entire weekend, with campsites and parking located trackside.
Additional Information
The event concludes with an award ceremony and more food. Top male and female participants in each time bracket receive awards.
