Red Barn Challenge : 7th Annual, October 2–3, 2026
The Red Barn Challenge is a timed endurance event held at Marzella Farm in Lykens, PA on October 2 and 3, 2026. The event offers 24 hour, 12 hour and 6 hour formats on a looped course that is chip timed.
The course is a one mile loop around ponds and fields with varied terrain, mostly grass, mulch and stone. Each lap has roughly 70 ft of elevation change. The event includes a large food aid station offering common ultra running foods such as potatoes, rice, broth and hydration products including Tailwind.
Camping is available for the weekend with campsites and parking located trackside for easy access. Awards are presented to the top male and female in each time bracket plus recognitions for other participants. Organizers list support for local organizations including Wiconisco Fire Company and Our Valley's Area athletics programs and other chosen charities.
Registration information notes a refund policy of 50 percent refunds available only until July 1, 2026, and a registration closing date of September 11. The event uses lap counting and chip timing on a repeated loop format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
