10th Annual R.E.D. 5K Run/Walk : Reaching Educational Dreams
The event is a community 5K taking place on June 6, 2026 at Hare Pavilion on the Wilmington Riverfront in Wilmington, DE. It is organized in support of educational and scholarship programs for students across Wilmington and New Castle County and is sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Wilmington Alumnae Chapter.
Distances and entry options:
- Virtual 5K, fee $44.35 (includes processing)
- 5K in-person, fee $44.35; $45 day of event
- Competitive walking 5K, fee $44.35; must walk entire race
Race services include chip timing by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag system. Results will be posted online during and after the event. Amenities listed for registrants include tee shirts (only guaranteed until May 18), post-race refreshments, and a finisher medal for the first 275 in-person finishers. Awards are given for overall and masters winners by gun time and for age groups by chip time, plus top walker awards.
Policies note no dogs due to insurance liability, bibs are non-transferable, strollers are welcome, and registration fees are non-refundable.
