The Event
The Rebecca Run for SMA is a run and walk event benefiting Cure SMA Canada. The 2026 edition marks the 25th year of this event. It offers in-person and virtual participation options. The event takes place on July 4, 2026, at Fairy Lake in downtown Newmarket, Ontario.
The Races
Two race options are available:
- A 5K run/walk.
- A Kids' Fun Run.
Both in-person and virtual participants can register for these events.
Practical Information
Funds raised go directly to Cure SMA Canada's programs and services across the country. The event is sponsored by Running Room.
Race kit pick-up is available at the Newmarket Running Room on the day before the event. Day-of pick-up is also available on-site starting at 7:45 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
