Event Information
The Real People Helping People Race is a family-friendly trail running event. It starts at the Durty Dabber Pavilion on Reservoir Road in McElhattan, near Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The event offers three distances: a 10K, a 5K, and an untimed 2.5-mile nature trail run.
The 10K course is a scenic loop with significant elevation change. It starts and finishes at the pavilion and uses wooded trails in Zindel Park, including Goat Path, the Connector, Gut Check, Laurel Trail, Black Diamond, and Kellers Bench.
The 5K course follows Creekside Trail into the large loop at McElhattan Nature Park, then returns via Creekside Trail, crosses a creek on a bridge, and finishes back at the pavilion.
The 2.5-mile course is untimed and follows Creekside Trail into the large loop at McElhattan Nature Park before returning to the pavilion through shaded forest paths.
Proceeds from the event support the Haven Summer Youth Program, which provides meals and activities for children, and the Central Mountain Cross Country team.
Food is provided for participants after the event. Parking is available onsite at the Durty Dabber Pavilion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
