Ready Set Glow 5K - Abilene, TX
The Ready Set Glow 5K takes place in downtown Abilene on October 11, 2026, with activities centered at The Well, 137 Mesquite. The event is family friendly and open to participants of all ages; walkers and strollers are welcome. It is the fifth annual Ready Set Glow event.

Registration and packet details are provided for different age groups. Standard registration includes a glow pack, bib, and t-shirt for most registrants. A deadline of September 20 is noted for guaranteed glow kit items. Fees listed by the organizer include a $35 option for ages 13 and older, $15 for ages 12 and under, and a $15 fee for the Fun Run; children 12 and under who do not want a packet, bib, or shirt are free. Early packet pick-up is scheduled for October 10 at The Well, and additional packet pick-up is available the morning of the event in The Well lobby.
The timed 5K is an open out-and-back course that starts and ends at The Well church. The organizer will provide lighting along the course and glowing volunteers to help direct participants. Roads on the course remain open to traffic; specific crossings will have staff or officers to assist with safety.
A post-race Glow Party will be held in The Well's green space with food trucks, children's activities, and nonprofit vendors. Proceeds support the organization We Love Abilene. During packet pick-up, donating new socks or underwear for the AISD Homeless Ministry will earn a light up baton. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
