Reach, Rally, & Run
The Reach, Rally, & Run, formerly known as Fostering Footsteps, is an annual community event held at the North Scott Wake Tech campus in Raleigh. Now in its ninth edition, the event supports the Wake Tech Foundation, which manages resources for Wake Tech Community College to provide affordable education and training within the Wake County region.
Participants can choose from several in-person distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
- Fun Mile
- Kids in Strollers (for ages 4 and under)
The courses are set around the college campus and are open to runners, walkers, and those using strollers or mobility devices. For those unable to attend in Raleigh, virtual versions of the 10K, 5K, and Fun Mile are also available.
Registration for the 5K, 10K, and Fun Mile includes a finisher's medal and a gift. The 10K event also provides a 5K split time for participants. Awards are available for top finishers in various categories, including overall winners, age groups, and those who set new course records. The event is part of the Fit & Able Free-for-All Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward end-of-year standing.
The event also features exhibitor opportunities and supports team participation, with various reward systems for referral and group registrations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
