About the race
The Reach Out and Run 5K is the 7th annual community run and walk held in Medway, Massachusetts on August 29, 2026. The event takes place at 196 Main Street and features a USATF certified 5K course. A separate kids run follows the 5K. Registration details are set by the organizer: registration opens April 29 and closes on the day of the event, August 29.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Participants who register by August 7 are guaranteed an event shirt to pick up with their race bib on race day. Proceeds from the event are directed to two local food pantries. The organizer states that 100% of event proceeds will be distributed equally between the Franklin Food Pantry and the Medway Village Food Pantry to support local food assistance efforts. Awards include medals for the top male and female finishers and for top finishers in each age group.
