Reach Out and Run 5K, Medway MA
The Reach Out and Run 5K is the 7th annual community run and walk held in Medway, Massachusetts on August 29, 2026. The event features a USATF certified 5K course and a separate KIDS RUN for younger participants after the 5K.
Events take place at 196 Main Street, Medway, MA 02053. Registration opens April 29 and closes August 29. Registration fees are listed as $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Participants who register by August 7 are guaranteed an event shirt to pick up with their race bib on race day.
Proceeds from the event are designated to local charitable organizations. Thirty-three percent of proceeds are donated to the Medway House Family Shelter, a program of SMOC that provides emergency shelter and assistance to families. The remaining sixty-seven percent is allocated equally between the Franklin Food Pantry and the Medway Village Food Pantry, which support people facing food insecurity in the Franklin and Medway area. The organizer also states that 100 percent of registration fees go directly to these three organizations.
Awards include medals for the top male and female finishers and for top finishers in each age group. The event includes a walk option, spectator areas at the start and finish, and children's activities such as crafts and games. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
