Rayleigh 10k Multi-Terrain Run
The Rayleigh 10k is a community-focused running event held in Essex, organized by RTC Events and the JBR Run & Tri Club. The race follows a circular route that begins and ends at Gusted Hall Lane. The course utilizes established pathways and bridleways, taking participants through a scenic natural landscape that includes Hockley Woods, Grove Woods, and Gusted Hall Woods.
The event features a single distance:
- 10 km
Participants must be 16 years of age or older to enter, and the total race capacity is limited to 600 entrants. The course is fully chip-timed, with results available shortly after completion. Water stations are positioned at the 5 km mark and at the finish line. All finishers receive a medal, and trophies are awarded to the first-place male and female finishers in the open (16-40/16-35) and veteran categories.
There is no parking available at the start and finish area at Gusted Hall Lane. Official parking is located at Clements Hall Leisure Centre, which is approximately one mile from the event hub. Participants should allow 10-15 minutes to walk from the parking area to the start line. Facilities at the site include toilets and a marquee for baggage storage. Registration on the morning of the event involves collecting race numbers and timing chips from the designated marquee. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
