Event Details
This is the fifth edition of the Rayleigh 10k. It is a multi-terrain run on a circular route using pathways and bridleways. The route goes through Hockley Woods and Grove Woods before finishing at the top of Gusted Hall Woods.
The event is chip timed, with individual start and finish times recorded. It has an age limit of 16 years and over. A maximum of 600 entrants is allowed.
Awards and Amenities Four trophies are awarded: first place male (16-40), first place female (16-35), first place male veteran (over 40), and first place female veteran (over 35). All finishers receive a medal. Water stations are provided at approximately the 5km point and at the finish.
Location and Parking
The start and finish point is at Gusted Hall Lane, Hockley, Essex. There is no parking at this location. Parking is available at Clements Hall Leisure Centre in Hawkwell, approximately one mile (a 10-15 minute walk) away. About 150 parking spaces are provided. Access to the start area is by foot only.
On-Site Facilities
Registration, number collection, and bag storage are located in a marquee near the start line. Toilets are also situated near the start. Participants must walk from the parking area to the start, which takes 10-15 minutes.
Event Rules
Dogs are not allowed on the course. Participants are responsible for their own personal accident and belongings insurance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
