Rayleigh 10k
The Rayleigh 10 km is a multi terrain race organised by RTC Events with JBR Run & Tri Club, scheduled for 7 June 2026. The race starts and finishes at Gusted Hall Lane, Hockley, SS5 4JL (What3Words ///shapeless.deferring.surpassed).
The course is a scenic circular route using established pathways and bridleways through Hockley Woods and Grove Woods, returning via Gusted Hall Woods to the event hub. The event is fully chip timed; individual times begin when a runner crosses the start mat and end at the finish mat. Results are made available shortly after the race.
Entry is limited to 600 runners and the minimum age is 16. Water stations are located at about 5 km and at the finish. All finishers receive a medal. Four trophies are awarded for overall category winners: first male (16–40), first female (16–35), first male veteran (over 40) and first female veteran (over 35).
There is no parking at Gusted Hall. Car parking is provided at Clements Hall Leisure Centre with approximately 150 spaces, roughly 1 mile from the event and about a 10–15 minute walk to the start area. Access to the start is by foot only; toilets and a marquee for baggage and registration will be located near the start. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
