Course and logistics
The 5 mile course is an out-and-back route beside a creek with about 500 ft of elevation gain, several curves, and some technical/rocky sections leading to a viewpoint above the river. The 25K follows the 5 mile route, bypasses the finish, and continues onto a 10 mile loop; total elevation gain for the full route is around 1,400 ft. There is an aid station near the 10th mile on the longer course. Parking is limited; participants may park only in the paved lot by the large picnic shelter or the adjacent dirt lot. Check-in is held race morning at the big picnic shelter. Shirts are available if ordered by December 18. All finishers receive a medal; top finishers in male and female categories receive trophies and age-group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
