Distances and race details
- 10.7 km (single loop)
- 21.4 km (half marathon, double loop)
The course is an undulating off-road trail of approximately 10.7 km per loop, with around 220 metres of elevation per loop. The surface is mainly grass trail with some hard track and wooded sections, distance markers appear every 2 km, and the route is marshalled and clearly marked. Cut-off times are applied: the half marathon has a 3 hour cut-off and the 10.7 km has a 1 hour 40 minute cut-off.
Aid stations supply water, fruit and vegan flapjack/malt loaf at the 5 km marker and at the start/finish. Recycled slate medals are awarded to all finishers; trophies and bottles of Sussex sparkling wine are allocated to the first three men and women in each distance. Headphone use follows the UKA safety ruling: in-ear and over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone-conducting earphones are allowed. First aid will be on site.
