Rat Race 100 Glamis
The Rat Race 100 Glamis is a fully supported, fully waymarked 100 mile ultramarathon that forms the final leg of a three‑event trilogy. The event covers 100 miles (160 km) over a 48 hour completion window and is set up to accommodate both runners and walkers with a suggested moving pace of 2.5 mph for completion planning. Entry has no qualifying time requirement and participants must be over 18 on the day of registration.
Registration and tracker collection take place in Dundee on the Friday before the event and the course starts at Glamis Castle, finishing at Stirling Castle. The organiser moves participant bags and provides multiple managed Pit Stops along the route with standard provisions such as water, juice, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, toilets and an on‑site medical team. Enhanced Pit Stops offer hot and heartier food options.
Medical cover is delivered by a professional event medic provider with paramedics and doctors supported by vehicles and a private ambulance. The event is independently audited for safety and risk management. Participants may use designated sleep stations at selected Pit Stops and the organiser will transport up to five participant bags, including a finish bag allowance of up to 15 kg and 70 L. Cut-offs are in place after Pit Stop 6 (approx 60 miles) and are based on the stated completion pace; earlier cut-offs may be applied in exceptional circumstances for safety.
