Rat Race 100 Glamis
The Rat Race 100 Glamis is a mass participation 100 mile event held 28 - 30 August 2027 with a 48 hour completion window. The route starts at Glamis Castle and finishes in Stirling, with registration and tracker collection on the Friday in Dundee. Participants have up to 48 hours to reach the finish.
Entry requires no qualifying time and the event is set around a walker friendly 2.5 mph completion pace. The course is fully waymarked with bright orange arrows and is fully supported by event logistics. Organisers transport multiple drop bags and offer a sweeper bus for participants who withdraw. Up to five bags can be moved, including a finish bag allowance of up to 15 kg and 70 L; designated Pit Stops accept smaller 5 kg 15 L bags and certain sleep station bags are permitted up to 25 L and 10 kg.
Pit Stops provide water, juice, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, toilets and a medical presence. Enhanced Pit Stops include hot food options such as porridge, soup or sandwiches. Medical services are provided by a professional provider with paramedics, doctors and self contained vehicles and ambulance support; event medical and safety arrangements are independently audited.
There are cut offs after Pit Stop 6 (approx 60 miles) designed for the 2.5 mph moving pace and organisers reserve the right to alter the course for safety or operational reasons. Participants must be over 18 on the day of registration. Completing all three Rat Race 100 events awards the Trilogy Finisher buckle. The full route will be released in Autumn 2026.
