Rat Race 100 Glamis
The Rat Race 100 Glamis is a 100 mile (160 km) mass participation run and trek over a 48 hour completion window. The event starts at Glamis Castle, progresses through the route, and finishes at Stirling Castle. Registration and tracker collection take place in Dundee on the Friday before the event.
The series is presented as a three part trilogy. Participants who complete all three Rat Race 100 events earn a Trilogy Finisher buckle. The event accepts entries with no qualifying times and is described as walker friendly with a 2.5 mph moving pace. Routes are fully waymarked with bright orange arrows and supported by paid event staff at key locations.
The event is fully supported operationally. Organisers move multiple drop bags and a finish line bag for participants and operate a sweeper bus. Up to five bags may be transported for each participant with specific size and weight limits at Pit Stops and the finish. Sleep station options are available at Pit Stops 6, 7 and 8 with an increased bag allowance for sleep kit.
Professional medical provision is supplied by an established event medic provider with paramedics and doctors in vehicle and ambulance units. Pit Stops provide water, juice, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, toilets and medical cover, plus vegetarian, vegan and separate gluten free or dairy free options.
