Rare Disease Day takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Red Tail Pavilion, 2801 E. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, TX 75074. The event includes the following race options:

- Kid's Dash (100–200 m)
- Virtual Option
The event is produced by Run Different and observes Rare Disease Day to raise awareness for people living with rare diseases.
Registration, awards and charity
Registration fees listed in the event information are: 5K ($35), 1 Mile ($18), Virtual ($40), Kid's Dash (free). The 5K and 1 Mile show a planned price increase after December 31, 2025. Participants registering for the 5K and 1 Mile are offered an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal; registrants are advised to register by 02/14 to guarantee t-shirt size. The 1 Mile is an untimed event and has no age group awards. The Kid's Dash is free and is a short sprint; dashers may purchase a shirt or finisher medal as an add-on. Age group awards are listed to be awarded three deep across standard male and female divisions; overall and masters categories receive platinum medals. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Run Different states that 100% of event profits and donations will be donated to the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD).
