Logistics and kit

Runners choose their distance on course: the 70 km turn point is at 35 km; if reached within seven hours of elapsed race time, runners may either finish at 70 km or continue to 100 km. The race HQ is at Whaley Bridge Uniting Church, Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge, SK23 7HT. The event provides Ranger Safety Team support, on-course water stops with snacks and hot soup, a pasta dinner and hot drinks at the finish, breakfast on Sunday morning, finishers eco-medals and trophies for winners and fastest finishers in age categories. Organisers supply GPX files and a race briefing; additional signage is limited for environmental reasons. A compulsory kit list is enforced with a pre-race kit check; required items include map, baseplate compass, head torch with backup, emergency bivvy, first aid, sufficient food and fluids, mobile phone (UK SIM only) and a litter bag.
