Event overview

The High Peak 70/100km Ultra is an out-and-back trail race based at Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire. The route runs up the Goyt Valley, through Buxton and across the White Peak, following sections of the Pennine Bridleway National Trail and the historic Cromford and High Peak Railway. The turn points are near Newhaven for the 70 km and Middleton Top near Cromford for the 100 km. There is a course option at the 35 km mark: turning and returning makes the 70 km distance, or continuing to the farther turn makes the 100 km distance. The minimum age is 20 years. The event is held under Trail Running Association and England Athletics permit rules.
