Ramathon
Ramathon is a Run For All road race first organised by the promoter in 2018. The main event is a half marathon that starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park near Derby Cathedral and passes Pride Park Stadium, Alvaston Park and Elvaston Castle Country Park. The course is described as fast and flat.
Distances
- Half marathon
- RAM 5 Mile (separate event on the same day)
Entrants must be 17 years or older on event day. The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive finisher’s medal and the option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt and iTAB engraving for the medal.
On course there will be 330 ml water bottles at water stations and Applied Nutrition isotonic drinks and energy gels at fuel stations. Recycling bins are provided at each water station. Pacers with flags sponsored by Arla Protein will run on course to indicate target finish times.
Event facilities include an Event Village with food and drink vendors and charity stands, a baggage store using the tear-off strip from the race number, toilets located around the stadium, and medical personnel at fixed stations, roaming first aiders and a dedicated first aid unit and recovery area near the finish. Discarded clothing left at the start is collected for donation. Race photographs will be taken and results will be published after the event.
