Ramathon : Derby half marathon, 13 June 2027
Ramathon is a half marathon held in Derby on 13 June 2027. The course starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park / Cathedral Green and is described as fast and flat. The route passes Derby Cathedral and the Florence Nightingale monument, heads down London Road past Elvaston Castle Park and Pride Park Stadium, then returns to Silk Mill Park for the finish.
The event runs alongside the RAM 5 Mile on the same day, increasing spectator presence around the course. Entrants must be aged 15 years or over on the day. Included for participants are chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive finisher’s medal; there is an option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt and to engrave the medal with iTAB.
On event day there is an Event Village with food and drink for purchase and partner charities present. Practical facilities include baggage storage, allocated toilets, pacers with visible finish-time flags sponsored by Arla Protein, fixed water stations supplying 330ml bottles, Applied Nutrition energy stations with isotonic drinks and gels, and first aid stations along the course plus a finish-line medical and recovery unit. Photography is provided by Marathon Photos and results are published after the event. Sustainability measures include recycling bins at water stations and trainer drop-off points run with JogOn.
