RAM 5 Mile, Derby, 13 June 2027
The RAM 5 Mile is a city-centre road race that starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park near Cathedral Green. The route follows the same course used by the Ramathon half marathon for the first two miles through the city centre, then continues toward Pride Park Stadium before returning to Silk Mill Park for the finish.
Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day. The event uses chip timing and includes a finisher's goody bag and an exclusive finisher's medal. There is an option to add a technical finisher t-shirt.
Race numbers are distributed by collection only, with collection arrangements to be shared closer to the date. An Event Village will offer food and drink for purchase and host partner charities. A designated Baggage Store is available; runners should attach the tear-off strip from their race number to their bag for collection and reclaim bags after the race.
Water stations on course provide 330 ml bottles and have recycling bins nearby. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags showing target finish times. Toilets are located around the stadium and a zero tolerance policy for urinating outside facilities applies. Medical cover includes fixed first aid stations near water stations, a first aid unit and recovery area at the start and finish, and roaming first aiders.
Photographers from MarathonPhotos will be on course and results will be published online soon after the event. The event includes sustainability measures such as recycling bins on course and JogOn shoe drop-off at the Race Office in the Event Village. Training resources are available through Coopah and the Derby Runner Run Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
