RAM 5 Mile
The RAM 5 Mile is a city centre road race in Derby scheduled for Sunday 13 June 2027. The event starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park and follows the same route used for the half marathon, running through the city centre for the first two miles before heading toward Pride Park Stadium and returning to Silk Mill Park. The course passes local landmarks such as the gothic cathedral and the Florence Nightingale monument.
Entries are open to participants aged 15 or over on race day. The event uses chip timing and includes a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive finisher’s medal; entrants may also purchase a technical finisher t-shirt. Race numbers are available by collection only at the Race Office in the Event Village during the event weekend.
On event day the Event Village offers food and drink for purchase and hosts partner charities. A designated baggage store is available; baggage labels are attached to race numbers and should be used when handing items to volunteers. First aid is provided at fixed stations near water stations, with a recovery unit at the start and finish and roaming first aiders in the village. Water stations offer 330 ml bottles and recycling bins are provided on course. Pacers with visible flags will be present to assist pacing.
