Event details
The RAM 5 Mile is a five-mile road race held on Sunday 28 June 2026 in Derby. The race starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park / Cathedral Green and follows the same route as the Ramathon half marathon. The course runs through the city centre for the first two miles, continues toward Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium, then returns to finish at Silk Mill Park near Derby Cathedral. Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day.
On the day and inclusions
Entries include chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive finisher’s medal, with an option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt. An Event Village will offer food and drink for purchase and will host partner charities. A designated Baggage Store is available; runners should use the tear-off strip on their race number to tag bags before checking in. Water stations will provide 330 ml bottles and recycling bins are available on course. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags showing target finish times. Toilet facilities are located around the stadium area. Medical personnel and fixed first aid stations are positioned near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish plus roaming first aiders in the Event Village.
