RAM 5 Mile
The RAM 5 Mile is a running event designed for participants of all abilities. The route begins at Silk Mill Park, located near Derby Cathedral. Runners follow a course that moves through the city centre for the first two miles before heading toward the Pride Park Stadium. The final stretch leads participants back to the original starting point at Silk Mill Park to complete the race.
Entrants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the event. To support a friendly and safe environment, the organizers provide several on-course services:
- Water stations providing 330ml bottles at regular intervals.
- Pacers to assist runners in maintaining specific finish times.
- Chip timing to record individual performance.
- Medical assistance at fixed first aid stations and the start/finish area.
Participants have access to an event village featuring food and drink vendors, a baggage store, and partner charity stalls. Attendees can take advantage of discounted event parking at various city council car parks, most of which are a 10-15 minute walk from the start line.
