RAM 5 Mile
The RAM 5 Mile is a road race over a 5-mile distance that uses the same start and finish area as the Ramathon. The course sets off from Silk Mill Park close to Derby Cathedral, runs through the city centre for the first two miles, continues toward Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium, and returns to finish at Silk Mill Park.
Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day. The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive finisher’s medal and the option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt. Entrants may also arrange medal engraving through a third party provider.
On event day an Event Village will offer food and drink outlets and host partner charities. A designated Baggage Store will accept bags if entrants use the tear-off strip from their race number. Clothing discarded at the start will be collected and donated unless it is left in the baggage store.
Water stations on course will provide 330 ml bottles and recycling bins at each station. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags showing target finish times. Toilets are located around the stadium area and medical personnel will be positioned at fixed first aid stations near water stops, at a first aid unit close to the start and finish, and as roaming first aiders.
