About the race
The RAM 5-mile is a road race in Derby that shares its start and finish area with the Ramathon at Silk Mill Park / Cathedral Green. The route follows the half marathon course for the opening section, running through the city centre for the first two miles before heading toward Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium and then returning to finish at Silk Mill Park. The course passes local landmarks including the gothic cathedral and the Florence Nightingale monument.
Participants must be aged 15 or over on race day. Entry includes a finisher’s goody bag, chip timing, and an exclusive finisher’s medal, with an option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt.
Race numbers are collection only; participants must not allow anyone else to run with their number as this may cause medical and safety issues and will result in disqualification. Baggage may be left in the designated baggage store after attaching the baggage label from the race number.
On course and event services include water stations supplying 330ml bottles and recycling bins, fixed first aid stations near water points, a first aid recovery unit close to the start and finish, roaming first aiders, pacers carrying finish time flags sponsored by Arla Protein, and event photography available to purchase from MarathonPhotos. The Event Village will offer food and drink for purchase and host partner charities.
Sustainability measures include recycling bins on course and a trainer drop-off for JogOn. Clothing left at the start is collected for donation unless placed in baggage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
