Event overview
The RAM 5 Mile is a road running event in Derby on Sunday 28 June 2026. The race uses Silk Mill Park, close to Derby Cathedral, as its start and finish location and follows the same start and finish as the Ramathon half marathon. Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day.
Course and race details
The 5-mile route runs through the city centre for the first 2 miles, then continues towards Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium before returning to Silk Mill Park for the finish. The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive finisher’s medal and the option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt.
On-course services and facilities
An Event Village will offer food and drink outlets and host partner charities. Baggage can be left in a designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip on the race number. Water stations will provide 330 ml bottles and recycling bins will be available at each water station. Pacers with finish-time flags will be on course. Toilets are located around the stadium area. Medical personnel will be positioned at regular intervals on the course, with fixed first aid stations near water stations and a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish.
