The Ralston Creek Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado. The event offers both a half marathon and a 5K run, plus a youth entry for the 5K. Course and aid stations
Both courses use a mix of roads and bike paths on the west side of Arvada and cover rolling terrain. The half-marathon course is fairly flat for the opening 5 miles, becomes rolling with a climb to a high point at about 7.75 miles, then is mostly downhill and flat toward the finish with a small bump around mile 9 and a gradual uphill in the final half-mile. Half-marathon aid stations are located approximately every two miles (approx. 2.25, 4.25, 6.5, 9.5, 11.5) and provide water and Hammer HEED sports drink; Hammer Gel is available around miles 4.25 and 9.5. The 5K course starts with a slight downhill, has a flat second mile, and a gradual uphill in the final mile; one aid station is located about halfway.
Awards and post-race
Overall awards are based on gun time; age-group awards are based on net time. Age groups cover standard five-year ranges and include a non-binary award category. Post-race activities continue at the nearby Colorado Tap House (14982 W.69th Ave) where runners may show their race bib for a $2 discount on a beverage item.
