Ralston Creek Half Marathon & 5k
The Ralston Creek races take place in Arvada, Colorado on February 15, 2026. The event program includes a half marathon and two 5K options on courses that use a mix of roads and bike paths through rolling terrain. An optional early start is offered for some half-marathon runners.

The half-marathon course is described as fairly flat for the opening miles, with rolling terrain and a notable climb to the high point near mile 7.75. After that point the route is largely downhill or flat, with a small rise around mile 9 and a gradual uphill in the final half mile. Aid stations are placed at roughly two-mile intervals (approx. 2.25, 4.25, 6.5, 9.5, 11.5) and provide water and Hammer HEED sports drink; Hammer Gel is available at about miles 4.25 and 9.5.
The 5K route begins with a slight downhill, has a flat middle mile, and finishes with a gradual uphill. A single aid station is located about halfway on the 5K course.
Entry is limited by field size for each distance. Race entries include event shirts, free race photo downloads, on-course aid, post-race hot cocoa and quesadillas, and finisher medals for half-marathon finishers. Post-race activities continue at the nearby Colorado Tap House. This race serves as the final event in the Racing Underground Winter Running Series and offers series finisher and overall awards.
