Ralston Creek Half Marathon & 5K : basic info
The Ralston Creek event on Sunday, February 15, 2026, takes place in Arvada, Colorado (west side of the Denver metro area). Distances offered include a half marathon and a 5K, plus youth and multi-race series entries. The half-marathon field is limited to the first 650 registrants and the 5K is limited to the first 350 registrants. Race-day packet pickup is available adjacent to the finish area, and early packet pickup is held at Runners Roost Lakewood the Friday before the race.

Course, services and awards
Both courses follow a mix of roads and bike path over rolling terrain. The half-marathon route rises to a high point near 7.75 miles, then is mostly downhill and flat with a small bump near mile 9 and a gradual final uphill in the last half mile. Half-marathon aid stations are placed about every two miles (approx. 2.25, 4.25, 6.5, 9.5, 11.5) and provide water and Hammer HEED sports drink; Hammer Gel is available at about miles 4.25 and 9.5. The 5K has a single aid station roughly at the halfway point.
Entry includes a race shirt, free race photo downloads, and finisher medals for half-marathon finishers. Post-race refreshments include hot cocoa, quesadillas and baked goods. The event is the final race in the Racing Underground Winter Running Series, which includes earlier races in December and January. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
