Event Details

The Ralph J. Redington 5K/10K Run and Kids Run is an annual event held on July 4 in Irvine, California. The event takes place at the North Lake Gazebo on Barranca Parkway. Three race distances are offered:

  • 5K
  • 10K
  • Kids Run (a one-mile run for children aged 1 to 10)

Registration and Fees

Registration for the event is handled exclusively online. Registration closes on Friday, July 3 at 12:00 p.m., and no registrations are accepted on race day.

Early registration fees for the 5K and 10K runs are available until Sunday, June 14. During this period, the fee is $45 per person, which includes an official race T-shirt, or $40 without a shirt. From Monday, June 15 until the registration deadline, the fee increases to $60 with a shirt or $55 without one.

For the Kids Run, the entry fee is $20 per child, including a T-shirt, or $15 without a shirt.

Event Logistics

Participants who register early (by June 14) can pick up their race bibs and T-shirts on Friday, July 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Woodbridge Community Center (31 Creek Road). Those who register after that date must collect their materials at the event on Barranca Parkway on race day.

Official 50th Anniversary T-shirts are also available for separate purchase at the Association Office for $10.

Awards

Awards are given to first-place finishers in each age division for both men and women in the 5K and 10K races. For the Kids 1-mile run, awards are presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall finishers for boys and girls. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
