Rally For Rescues 2K / 5K
A student-led community event in Worthington, Pennsylvania, organized by senior and junior high students from Armstrong High School to raise funds for Orphans of the Storm animal shelter of Armstrong County. The event takes place on May 22 at the Worthington Fire Hall, 171 Linton Alley, rain or shine. Alongside the runs, a range of community activities is scheduled, including a car cruise and social, Strut Your Mutt pet parade, kickball tournaments, craft vendors, food trucks, live student performances including a Taiko drum performance, games, and a meet and greet with shelter animals.
Distances offered cover short and standard community running options and follow roads through Worthington and surrounding farm country. After expenses are paid, all proceeds will be donated to Orphans of the Storm to support completion and operation of the local shelter.

Safety and participant support measures will be in place for the running routes. These include water stations along the course, Gatorade and bananas for electrolytes, ambulance and EMT services, an emergency cart service, and an escort provided by Worthington firemen.
