Raleigh Turkey Trot
The Raleigh Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Nov 26, 2026, based at Ridgewood Shopping Center in Raleigh, NC. The event includes an 8K race/run/walk and a short Kids Dash for very young children.

Participants may wear Thanksgiving-theme hats and there is a costume contest. The 8K is part of the Triangle Race Series. Registration fees for the 8K vary by registration period: through August 31 $33; Sept 1 - Oct 31 $35; Nov 1 - Nov 17 $37; Nov 18 - Nov 26 $40 or until sold out. The Kids Dash fee is $7. Registrations totaling $113 or more in a single order receive a 13% discount with the promo code FriendsAndFamily.
The event has a no-refund and no-deferral policy. Transfer requests are accepted through Nov 15 with a $10 transfer fee and require the replacement runner to register online; transfers are not allowed after Nov 15. Advanced check-in and packet pickup are scheduled the weekend before the race in the lower parking lot at Ridgewood Shopping Center near Conte's Bike Shop and Jersey Mike's. Shirts must be picked up at advanced check-in or on race day; unclaimed shirts will not be shipped after the event.
Fleet Feet Sports of Raleigh provides gift card awards for top finishers in overall, masters, and age-group categories. The 8K does not award medals; medals are provided for the Kids Dash. The course includes two water stations and finish area water. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted but should start toward the back. Parking for all participants is at Meredith College via the Faircloth Road entrance. The event benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
