Raleigh Turkey Trot
The Raleigh Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning at Ridgewood Shopping Center in Raleigh. The event includes these distances:
- 8K race/run/walk
- Kids Dash (age 7 & under)
The 8K is part of the Triangle Race Series. Registration pricing for the 8K varies by date: through August 31 $33; September 1 to October 31 $35; November 1 to November 17 $37; November 18 to November 26 $40. The Kids Dash fee is $7. A Family/Group rate offers a 13% discount for single orders totaling $113 or more when the promo code FriendsAndFamily is used.
Shirts are gender-specific cuts and 2026 shirts will be revealed in September. Shirts must be picked up at advanced check-in the weekend before the race (November 21–22) or on race morning; unclaimed shirts will not be shipped after race day. Advanced check-in is in the lower parking lot at Ridgewood Shopping Center near Conte's Bike Shop and Jersey Mike's.
Race awards include gift cards from Fleet Feet Sports for top finishers overall, masters (age 40+) and multiple age groups. Parking for participants is at Meredith College via the Faircloth Road entrance. There are two water stations on course and water at the finish. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Strollers are allowed but should start toward the back. Bib transfers are permitted through November 15 for a $10 fee; there are no refunds or deferrals.
The event benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and offers volunteer fundraising credit for MS Bike or MS Walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
