Railsplitter 5K Run/Walk
The Railsplitter 5K is an annual athletic event held on the Lincoln Memorial University campus in Harrogate, Tennessee. This race serves as the opening activity for the university's homecoming celebrations. The course covers a distance of 3.1 miles and is situated on the paved roads within the university grounds.
Participants begin the event at LMU Park, located in front of the Honeycutt and Laws Operations Building. The race is open to both runners and walkers. Registered participants receive an event shirt as part of their entry fee. Additionally, themed items such as Abe Lincoln top hats and beards are provided to participants while supplies last.
After completing the course, runners and walkers have access to refreshments provided by a local vendor. Recognition is given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners within specific age groups.
