Rail Trail 10K Race : Shoreline Sharks, October 3, 2026
The Rail Trail 10K Race is a road event held in Hamden, Connecticut at the Railroad Canal Line Main Parking Lot (255 Sherman Ave.). This is the event's 10th annual running and serves as the Eastern Region 10K Championship for the Road Runners Club of America.
The course is a 100% rail-trail out-and-back with no cars and no street crossings. The route is described as flat and scenic, passing through fall foliage. Aid stations provide water and Gatorade Endurance at approximately Miles 2.5 and 3.5. There is parking available in Rail Trail lots and on-street near the venue.
Entrants receive men's and women's cut short sleeve tech shirts (sizes not guaranteed) and a 3-inch custom finisher medal. Results are delivered live online, by text, and by email, and finish-line photos are provided free of charge. Awards are custom pint pilsner glass trophies presented to the top five men and top five women overall, and to the top five in standard age-group divisions ranging from youth to 80+.
Registration terms specify that fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. On-race-day payments are limited to non-card methods; card payments are not accepted.
