Rail Trail 10K Race - Shoreline Sharks (2026)
The Rail Trail 10K Race is a 10K road running event held on October 3, 2026 in Hamden, Connecticut. The venue is the Railroad Canal Line Main Parking Lot at 255 Sherman Ave., Hamden, CT 06518. The race is the Eastern Region 10K Championship for the Road Runners Club of America.
The course runs entirely on the Rail Trail with no street crossings and no vehicle traffic. It is an out and back route described as flat. Water and sports drink stations are provided at miles 2.5 and 3.5. There is parking available in Rail Trail lots and on-street near the venue.
Amenities listed for entrants include short sleeve tech shirts, a custom 3 inch finisher medal, Poland Spring water and Gatorade Endurance at the finish, live results by text and email, and free finish line photos. Awards are custom pint pilsner glass trophies for the top five men and women overall and for the top five in standard age groups from 5-9 through 80 plus.
Registration notes state that fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may vary with optional additions. On race day organizers accept cash, checks, and Venmo but do not accept credit cards.
