Ragnar Trail Appalachians
The Ragnar Trail Appalachians is an overnight trail relay held August 7-8, 2026 at Big Bear Camplands in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. Teams run across forested terrain and camp together at the event village for one night.
Teams can choose from several formats with set prices: Standard Team - 8 runners for 2 days and 1 night ($1,645 total, $205 per runner); Ultra Team - 4 runners for 2 days and 1 night ($925 total, $231 per runner); Black Loop - 2 runners for 2 days and 1 night ($425 total, $212 per runner).
The course comprises three tree-lined trails that pass through dense fern and pine forests and rolling hills. Course statistics listed for the event include 117 miles total, 14.6 miles per runner on average, and 427 feet of elevation gain. Views are described as lush fern and pine forests.
Ragnar Village serves as the weekend base with activities such as bonfires, live music on Thursday night, yoga, and prize presentations.
