Event Overview
The St. Patty's 5k Run/Walk or Ruck and Fitness Mile is a community sports event held in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The 5K course is described as fast and flat. The Fitness Mile consists of four 1/4-mile legs paired with specific exercises, including burpees, air-squats, overhead press, sit-ups, lunges, and pushups. Participants in the 5K Ruck division must carry a rucksack, backpack, or weighted vest weighing 45 lbs for men and 35 lbs for women.
Awards are provided for various categories, including top overall finishers and age groups for the 5K run, the top 10 male and female walkers, and the top three finishers in the Fitness Mile and Ruck divisions. A dual-event challenge allows participants to compete for the title of the "Fittest" in Fayette County.
