Ragnar Suncoast
Ragnar Suncoast is a team relay running event held along Florida's Gulf Coast. Based at the Clearwater Beach Sheraton Resort on Sand Key, the race follows a format that eliminates night running, with participants completing their segments during daylight hours. The course covers a total of 127 miles across two days, featuring flat terrain with zero elevation gain.
Participants run along palm-lined paths and waterfront areas, including the Pinellas Trail, Fort De Soto Park, St. Pete Beach, and the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. The event follows a loop-style format where runners start and finish each day at the same central home base.
Teams can choose from several registration options:
- Standard Team: 8 runners completing 2 days and 1 night.
- Ultra Team: 4 runners completing 2 days and 1 night.
- Sprint Team: 4 runners completing the course in 1 day.
The event includes amenities such as live music, beach bonfires, and food at the finish line. Each participant receives a finisher shirt and a team medal. The home base at the Sheraton Resort provides access to a pool, onsite restaurants, and bars. Typical weather for the area during this period includes daytime highs in the low to mid 80s and nighttime lows in the mid 60s. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
