The Radley Triathlon takes place at Radley College, Kennington Road, Radley, Abingdon on 31 August 2026. It is a pool-based triathlon with swim, cycle and run legs. The course description lists flat terrain for both the bike and run. The cycle route passes through surrounding Oxfordshire countryside and the run route goes around the grounds of Radley College.
Race format and facilities
Available distances:
- Sprint: 400 m swim, 22 km bike, 5 km run
- Novice: 200 m swim, 11 km bike, 2.5 km run
The swim is in a pool: 200 m equals 8 lengths and 400 m equals 16 lengths. The bike route is approximately 11 km for Novice (one lap) and 22 km for Sprint (two laps). The run is based on 2.5 km laps: one lap for Novice and two laps for Sprint. A timing chip must be worn on the left ankle for the entire event. Bike, helmet and personal stickers are used in Transition; race numbers are affixed to cycle or running gear.
On-site facilities include toilets in the main sports building, limited free parking directed to designated triathlon car parking, catering details in the participant pack, and medical and first aid locations at various points on course. There is no general baggage storage; a small number of items may be left in Transition at owner risk. Participants receive a race starter kit, a free swim hat and a finisher’s medal.
