Raceway 5K/3K : Raceway Woods Forest Preserve
The 11th annual Raceway 5K and 3K Run/Walk takes place at Raceway Woods Forest Preserve in Carpentersville, on the site of the former Meadowdale International Speedway at the N/W corner of Route 31 and Main Street / Huntley Road, IL 60110. The event includes in-person and virtual participation options.

The route follows portions of the former raceway and passes through wooded preserve sections. The course features curves, straightaways, banked turns, and hills. Participants may run or walk and dogs are permitted; a dog category is included with special swag for canine participants.
Registration is offered in multiple pricing tiers including early bird, regular, race day, and a virtual option. Pre-race packet pick up is listed as TBA. Race day registration and packet pick up are available near the starting line for an additional fee; participants should allow time to walk from parking to registration and prepare for the event.
Awards honor the top three overall males and females, top team based on the first five finishers, top dog, and age group winners in these divisions: 14 & under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 & over. Proceeds benefit the charities of the Rotary Club of Carpentersville, including the Carpentersville F.I.S.H. Food Pantry and Operation Warm.
