Event details
The Raceway 5K/3K is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the former Meadowdale International Speedway in Raceway Woods Forest Preserve, N/W corner of Route 31 and Main Street/Huntley Road, Carpentersville, IL 60110. The course uses the old speedway layout and includes curves, straightaways, banked turns, and hills. Dogs are allowed and there is a "Top Dog" award.

Awards include top three overall male and female finishers, age-group awards (14 & under; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60 & over), top team (first five finishers), and Top Dog.
Registration, fees and logistics
On-site race day registration and packet pick up occur near the starting line with a $5 extra charge; participants are asked to allow at least 20 minutes from parking to registration. No registration is accepted after 7:45 AM on race day. Listed in the event materials are fee levels ranging from $39.44 to $50.14 for the in-person 3K and 5K options. The virtual option is listed at $44.79 and includes shipping of the race shirt. Pre-race packet pick up is to be announced.
Purpose and results
Proceeds benefit charities of the Rotary Club of Carpentersville, including the Carpentersville F.I.S.H. Food Pantry and Operation Warm. Virtual participants can record and submit results via the event’s virtual tracking procedures; past event results are maintained for reference.
