About the race
Race You to the Summit is a fell race held at the Summit Inn in Littleborough OL15 9QX. The event has a long history and is listed as 59 years old.
The main course is 4.3 miles with over 800 ft of ascent. The route runs from the Summit Inn up to the White House pub near Blackstone Edge, requires touching the pub wall, and then returns to the Summit Inn.
The event is a fell race and is run under Fell Runners Association rules. There are junior categories for Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 14s. Under 16s race with the seniors. Entry fees for adults are £8 pre entry and £10 on the day. Under 16s are free.
The race in 2026 is scheduled for Halloween 31st October 2026. Halloween costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for best costume. Volunteer marshals are used and volunteers receive race credit for future events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
