Event Overview
This is the 30th annual Race with Your Heart. It offers a 5K run, a 10K run, and an untimed 1.5 mile walk. The event takes place at Eureka Lake in Illinois, with activities based at the Eureka Lake Pavilion near the intersection of Lake Road and Eastview Circle. The event benefits Woodford County Heartline and Heart House. ShaZam Racing provides timing and scoring.
Course Details
The course goes through woodlands along Eureka Lake and through local subdivisions. It is described as mostly flat with a couple of significant hills ascending the Eureka Lake dam. The walk is on a flat surface around the lake.
Post-Race Activities
A post-race celebration includes a free pancake and sausage breakfast. There will also be raffles.
Registration Information
Registration is available for all distances. A special group rate allows registering four people for the price of three (kids 10 and under are not included in this rate). Registration for kids aged 10 and under is free. Event t-shirts are available but are not guaranteed for registrations after a certain date. Packet pickup is available on the day before the event at Heart House in Eureka and on the morning of the event.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5K and 10K races. These include overall awards (top male and female), age group awards, and weight class awards for Clydesdale and Athena divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
