Race around the Castle 10km
The Race around the Castle is a 10 km road race organised by Lancaster Runners at Holiday Inn LA1 3RA on 11 April 2027. The course reaches Lancaster Castle and includes a loop around the battlements before returning toward the finish.
All finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and the first three female finishers. Veterans prizes are offered depending on entry numbers. Recorded best times for the course stand at 35:15 for the male record and 37:07 for the female record (2024).
Online entry fees vary by status: affiliated club athletes £24, unaffiliated athletes £25, and Lancaster Runner's Club athletes £19; some online portals may add a small additional charge. Entries on the day are accepted in cash only with fees of £25 for affiliated and unaffiliated athletes and £20 for Lancaster Runner's Club athletes. The event operates a no refunds, swaps or deferrals policy.
