Race to the Castle 10km

The Race to the Castle 10km takes place on 12th April 2026. The start is at the Holiday Inn, LA1 3RA. The event is licensed by UK Athletics (licence #28686).

The course involves running to Lancaster Castle, completing a loop around its battlements, and then returning.

All finishers receive a medal. The first three male and first three female finishers receive prizes. Veteran prizes are dependent on entry numbers.

Entry fees vary. Online entry costs £21 for affiliated (club) athletes, £23 for unaffiliated athletes, and £17 for Lancaster Runner's Club athletes. Entries on the day are accepted for £25 (affiliated and unaffiliated) or £20 (Lancaster Runner's Club), payable in cash only. The event has a no refunds, swaps, or deferrals policy.
