Event details
The Race to the Castle is a 10 km road race in Lancaster held on 12 April 2026. The route reaches Lancaster Castle and includes a loop around the castle battlements before returning to the finish. The event holds UKA licence number 28686. A course map is provided by the organiser.
Entries, prizes and policies
Online entry fees are: affiliated (club) athletes £21, unaffiliated athletes £23, Lancaster Runner's Club athletes £17. Some online portals may add a small charge. Entries on the day are accepted for cash only; on-the-day fees are £25 for affiliated and unaffiliated athletes and £20 for Lancaster Runner's Club athletes. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Prizes are given to the first three male and the first three female finishers. Veteran prizes are dependent on entry numbers. The event operates a no refunds, swaps or deferrals policy.
