Race details
The Race to the Castle is a 10 km road race in Lancaster, scheduled for 12th April 2026. The course passes Lancaster Castle and includes a loop around the castle battlements before returning to the finish. The event holds a UKA licence number 28686. Medals are given to all finishers.
Entry, fees and prizes
Online entry fees are listed as: affiliated (club) athletes £21, unaffiliated athletes £23, Lancaster Runner's Club athletes £17. Online portals may add a small additional charge. Entries on the day are cash only, with fees of £25 for affiliated athletes, £25 for unaffiliated athletes and £20 for Lancaster Runner's Club athletes. There is a no refunds, swaps or deferrals policy.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and the first three female finishers. Veterans prizes are dependent on entry numbers.
