The Race to Space Half Marathon takes place March 21-22, 2026 in Huntsville, Alabama. The event includes a half marathon and a Saturn "V" 5K. Logistics, course and awards
Packet pickup is scheduled at RunningLane (2407 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801) on March 20-22, 2026. There are no refunds, credits, or friend/family transfers on entries. The first 1,000 registrants are guaranteed a long-sleeve technical shirt; later registrants will receive a race shirt but may not receive the long-sleeve tech shirt. All runners receive a finisher medal and shirt. Age group award categories are listed for both events. The half marathon has a strict course time limit of 4 hours (about 18:19 per mile). For 2026 the half marathon winner will receive $500 and establish the new course record; a course-record bonus structure is planned for future years. The course is being finalized with the City of Huntsville and is described as flat and certified. Driving distances from nearby cities are provided by the organizers.
