Race to Replace Hate 5K
The Race to Replace Hate 5K is a community run and walk held on May 9, 2026 at Asia Times Square in Grand Prairie, Texas. The event is the third annual 5K and is part of the Asian Heritage Fest, which runs May 8 to May 10, 2026. The race promotes replacing hate with messages of love, community, and culture and supports the AANHPI community.
Two participation options are offered:
- 3.1 Miles in person at Asia Times Square
- Virtual 5K with T-shirt and medal mailed to participants
Registration fees are listed at $35.00 for both the in person and virtual options. In person registration has an earlier close date than the virtual option. The T-shirt cutoff is Friday, April 24. Net proceeds from registration will be donated to the Texas chapter of the Asian American / Pacific Islander Nurses Association, Inc.
All registered participants receive a race bib with timing chip, a performance shirt, a custom finisher medal, entry into a raffle for game tickets and jerseys, and additional sponsor items. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers, with trophies and cash or vendor credits for the top placements. Kids aged three and under may run free from a parent, and dogs and strollers are allowed with appropriate placement in the field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
