5K Race to Replace Hate : Asian Heritage Fest
The 3rd annual 5K Race to Replace Hate is part of the Annual Asian Heritage Fest at Asia Times Square in Grand Prairie, Texas, held during Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month on May 14-15, 2027. The in-person course covers 3.1 miles and a virtual 5K option is available.
Registration opened July 6, 2026. In-person registration closes April 1, 2027; the virtual option remains open through May 16, 2027. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $32.00 for the in-person 5K and $35.00 for the virtual 5K. Net proceeds from registration will be donated to the Texas chapter of the Asian American / Pacific Islander Nurses Association, Inc. (AAPINA).
All registered participants receive a race bib with timing chip, a custom performance shirt, and a finisher medal; shirt size is guaranteed for registrations by April 15. Additional items may be provided by event sponsors. Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female finishers: first place receives a trophy, $100 cash, and $200 vendor credit; second place receives a trophy, $50 cash, and $100 vendor credit; third place receives a trophy and $50 vendor credit.
Kids age 3 and under may run free with a parent. Dogs and strollers are allowed with guidance to line up according to pace. The organizer maintains a strict no-refund policy and may delay, shorten, alter, or cancel the event for participant safety in extreme conditions.
