The event is organized to provide the opportunity for movement for all individuals regardless of ability or disability. It is sponsored by the Norwood SEPAC, the Special Education Parents Advisory Council, to raise acceptance and awareness of the Unified Champions program in the community.
Participants may enter as individuals or as part of Unified or family teams. A Unified Team consists of one athlete with special needs plus one or more peer or family role models.
Entry fees are listed as $25 for the 3 Mile event and $15 for the 1/2 Mile event. The first 100 registered runners receive a free race shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
