Inclusive Community Event in Norwood

The Race to Embrace is a community-focused athletic event held in Norwood, Massachusetts. Organized through a partnership between ABL Fitness and the Friends of Norwood SEPAC, the event is designed to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. These organizations focus on supporting individuals with neurodiversity and special needs through specialized coaching, adaptive fitness, and resource sharing for families.

Participants can choose from two distinct distances:

  • 3 Miles Run, Walk, or Roll
  • 1/2 Mile Run, Walk, or Roll

The event starts and finishes at 245 Nichols Street. As an inclusive event, it welcomes participants to complete the course by running, walking, or using mobility devices. The first 100 individuals to register for the race are eligible to receive a complimentary event shirt. Registration for both distances remains open until early May. Proceeds and sponsorships go toward supporting the mission of making the local community more accessible and providing resources for children and adults with special educational and physical needs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
