Race the Helix-Upstate

Race the Helix-Upstate is a community running and walking event held at Lake Conestee Nature Park, 840 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607. All proceeds benefit the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation to support genetics services, testing, and research for families impacted by genetic disorders.

The event offers both live and virtual options. Live offerings include a trail 5K with chip timing and a paved 1 mile walk. The course can accommodate strollers and wheelchairs. Pre packaged snacks, water, and coffee are provided on site. T shirts are not included with entry; long sleeve shirts are available for purchase for an additional $15. Virtual participants who purchase a shirt must pick it up from a Greenwood Genetic Center location.

Registration fees listed for the events are $25 for the 5K and free for the 1 mile walk; the virtual 5K is $25 and the virtual 1 mile walk is free. Race day registration is available via a personal device until the race begins. The event proceeds in rain or shine and registrations are final with no refunds. A course map and additional race information will be posted before the event.
