Race of The Runways 5K
The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach presents the 16th Anniversary Race of The Runways, an evening event held at Flagler Executive Airport in Palm Coast, Florida on February 28, 2026. The main distance is a 5K run/walk along illuminated airport runways under the searchlight of a circling helicopter.
The event program includes a 5K Run/Walk, a Kiddie Dash open to ages 10 and under, a Virtual 5K, and a Guest/Non-Runner After Party. Timing is done with a disposable chip attached to the numbered bib and participants receive finisher medals. The first 500 pre-registered runners who complete registration and payment by February 6 are guaranteed a race T shirt; T shirt availability on race day is not guaranteed and excludes Kiddie Dash participants.
Registration has tiered fees through specified dates and a separate fee applies for the Kiddie Dash. Packet pickup is available the day before the race and on race day. Free parking is available at the airport. Dogs are not allowed at the event because it is held on airport property; strollers are welcome.
Awards include overall male and female winners, age group awards across standard age ranges, and costume awards for Best Male, Best Female and Best Team Light Up The Runway. Glow in the dark clothing and light up costumes are encouraged; glow sticks are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
