About the race
Ocean's 26.2 is a multi-format running and rucking event held at the Hammock Community Center in Palm Coast, Florida (79 Mala Compra Rd). The event uses a three-loop course with a single transition area where exchanges, the start, and the finish all take place. The route runs near the Atlantic Ocean and follows the Mala Compra Trails, with most of the course on hard-packed trail and boardwalk and some sections on sidewalk along A1A and Mala Compra Road.
Race options include:
- 26.2 miles relay for teams of two or three runners or ruckers
- 26.2 miles solo marathon (6.5 hours cutoff)
- 6k (3.7 miles) loop based on loop 2 of the course
Teams compete in Male, Female, and Coed categories. Each team must designate a team captain; the captain registers and pays for the entire team, then invites members to register. Ruck relay teams follow the same team format as running relays.
Finish-line amenities and awards vary by distance: finishers receive gifts or medals, food is available at the finish area, and awards are planned for top finishers in multiple categories including top teams and age divisions. The event also partners with the Sombrero Outreach Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on strengthening local community health and supporting other nonprofits.
