Ocean's 26.2 Relay Race and 6k run and Ruck : January 2, 2027
This event offers a marathon-distance relay and a separate 6k held at the Hammock Community Center in Palm Coast, Florida. The marathon format uses a three-loop course with all exchanges, starts, and finishes at the same transition area near the Atlantic Ocean. The loop layout reduces the need to drive between exchanges and keeps teams together in one location during the event.
Distances and formats
- 26.2 miles marathon relay, teams of two or three runners or ruckers
- Marathon (solo) option with a 6.5 hours cutoff
- 6k (3.7 miles) single loop on Mala Compra Trails and boardwalk
Teams are categorized as male, female, or coed. Ruck relay teams follow the same categories. Each team must designate a team captain; the captain registers and pays for the team, then invites members to register. The 6k course runs primarily on hard-packed trail and boardwalk, with sections on sidewalk along A1A and Mala Compra Road. 6k finishers receive a custom beanie, a medal, food at the finish, and awards for top placements.
Awards include top three teams in relay categories, top finishers in the 6k, and masters prizes. The event partners with the Sombrero Outreach Foundation. Registration closes on January 1 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
