Ocean's 26.2 Relay Race and Ruck
Ocean's 26.2 Relay Race and Ruck is a multi-distance event held in Palm Coast, Florida. The event takes place at the Hammock Community Center and utilizes the Mala Compra Trails. Participants can choose between running or rucking in several formats, with the course located near the Atlantic Ocean.
The event offers the following distances and categories:
- 26.2 Mile Relay: Teams of 2 or 3 runners or ruckers.
- Solo Marathon: A 26.2 mile individual run with a 6.5-hour time limit.
- 6k Run: A 3.7 mile loop for runners and walkers.
The marathon distance consists of a three-loop course where the start, finish, and exchange points are all located in the same transition area. This setup allows teammates to remain in a central location while waiting for their turn to run. The 6k course consists of a single loop on a mix of hard-packed trails, boardwalks, and sidewalks along A1A and Mala Compra Road.
Participants in the 6k receive a custom beanie and a finishers medal. Relay and marathon finishers receive a finishers gift, and rucking participants receive a specific patch in addition to a medal. Food and beverages are provided at the finish line. Awards are presented to top finishers in various categories, including male, female, coed, and masters divisions.
