Southampton Race of Hope
The Race of Hope is a community event held in Southampton, New York, organized by the Hope for Depression Research Foundation. The event serves as a platform to raise awareness and funds for research dedicated to defeating depression. Participants include professional runners, first-time athletes, walkers, corporate teams, families, and children from the tri-state area and beyond.
The event features a 5k course, which is approximately 3.1 miles. The route takes participants around Lake Agawam, starting from the vicinity of Agawam Park and Pond Lane. Individuals have the option to run or walk the course at their own pace.

Accurate birth dates are required during registration for those who wish to remain eligible for speed awards. Registration fees vary based on the date of entry, with gear provided to the first 950 individuals who pick up their materials.
