The entire course is situated on the University of Akron Campus and utilizes the surrounding sidewalk network. The route begins in front of the School of Law and navigates through various campus landmarks, including the Coleman Commons, the Buchtel Statue, and Guzzetta Hall. Runners pass between university buildings such as Shrank North and South and the Polymer Science Building before completing a final stretch back to the School of Law.

University of Akron law students have the opportunity to participate in a specific Law Student Team Competition, where members of the same class compete together as a group.
