Race into Finals at Kent State University
The 10th Annual Race into Finals at Kent State University is a community event held on the university campus in Kent, Ohio. The event features two distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
The course is located near Henderson Hall at the College of Nursing. Proceeds from the event are directed toward the College of Nursing Student Emergency Fund. All participants who register by the specified deadline in April are guaranteed an exclusive soft T-shirt. On the day of the event, timing services and post-race snacks are provided for all registered runners.
Registered participants of the 5 km distance may use the 1 mile fun run as a warm-up at no additional cost if they do not require separate timing or prizes for that segment. The event includes several recognition categories, such as awards for top overall male and female finishers, age group leaders, a "Middle of the Pack" finisher award, and a "School Your Professor" challenge.
Free parking is provided for attendees at the Henderson Hall R8 lot and the C Science Lots, though access to certain lots is restricted during specific windows for runner safety.
