Race for SCOPE
Race for SCOPE is a charity running and walking event held on May 17, 2026, at Bala Cynwyd Park, 374 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. The event follows an out-and-back course on the Cynwyd Heritage Trail, beginning and ending at the park with a turnaround point just past the park.
The program includes these distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration opens December 23, 2025, and closes May 17, 2026. The entry fee is $25. The event uses professional timing provided by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Race results will be posted on the timing provider’s results page. Awards are given to the top 1 through 3 overall finishers.
Organizers raise funds for SCOPE, Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education, to help provide underprivileged children the opportunity to attend summer camp. Post-race provisions include refreshments, water stations, and prizes.
