The Race for Renewal is the 3rd annual community 5K walk and run held in Monroe, Louisiana on 11/07/2026. Proceeds from the event benefit The Renewal Center of NELA, a community day shelter located in Monroe that provides meals, laundry services, Bible studies, case management, assistance obtaining vital documents, and connections to local resources. The Renewal Center aims to help individuals move toward stability and self sufficiency while offering hope and compassion.
The current facility does not provide emergency housing, and the organization has a stated vision to expand its campus to offer more on site resources and services. Registration options and fees are provided: early registration through October 15, 2026 is $35 and includes a race day t shirt; late registration through November 4, 2026 is $40 and does not include a t shirt; race day registration at Forsythe Park Pavilion 1 is $40 and does not include a t shirt.
