Race for Life Wrexham
Race for Life Wrexham is a fundraising 10 km event held at Alyn Waters Country Park, Llay, on Sunday 19 July 2026. Entry is for ages 16 and over. Ticket prices listed are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
The course consists of two laps of a 5 km loop. Each lap begins with about 2 km on grass before continuing on gravel paths through woodland. The route follows park trails near the River Alyn and is mainly flat with one or two small, sharp climbs.
The start and finish are on the main field next to the event car park, accessed through the park gates. General event parking, drop offs and Blue Badge parking are available free of charge. There are various pedestrian access points. Bus route 33 serves Llay Cemetery, about 0.2 miles from the event site; the nearest train station is Gwersyllt, approximately 1.6 miles away.
On site facilities include refreshments, toilets and parking, and dogs are allowed. The event is not suitable for pushchairs and has been assessed as not wheelchair accessible because of extended grass sections. A QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content and sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee.
