Race for Life Windsor 10k
The event takes place at Royal Windsor Racecourse in Windsor, SL4 5JJ and offers three route options for participants aged 16 and over. Distances available:
- 10k
- 5k
- 3k
The course runs on tarmac and grass between the racetrack and the River Thames. Some sections are quite narrow, and the 10k is a double lap of the 5k course. The event is chip timed and awards a Race for Life medal at the finish.
Participation details include a minimum fundraising target of £50. Ticket prices listed are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children. A May promotional code was available for a discounted entry; terms and expiry applied.
The start and finish are on the grass opposite the main racecourse buildings. Stewards will direct participants from the main carpark and a what3words location is provided for the starting point. Free general parking is available on site; blue badge and volunteer parking have designated areas. The nearest bus stop is on Hanover Way served by the W1 route. The nearest train stations are Windsor and Eton Riverside and Windsor and Eton Central; the venue is about a 35 minute walk from those stations. Bike racks are outside the main building and taxis are available.
Facilities listed include refreshments, toilets, parking, bag drop and showers. Dogs are not permitted and the site is not suitable for pushchairs. The event is wheelchair accessible with assistance.
