Race for Life Swindon 5k - Lydiard Park
Race for Life Swindon is a fundraising 5k event taking place on Saturday 2 May 2026 at Lydiard Park, Hook Street, Swindon, SN5 3PA. Entry is for people aged 16 and over. Listed ticket prices are £15.99 for adults and £11.00 for children. The published minimum fundraising target is £50.00.
The route is a full 5k and starts on grass in line with the children's play area outside the Jungle Parc and Forest Cafe. The course runs on a mixture of tarmacked paths and woodland trails and includes hills, uneven ground, twists and turns. The finish is on grass near a large oak tree. Participants may walk, jog or run at their own pace.
Event parking is provided free of charge on grass within Lydiard Park via the gate off Hook Street, with stewarded directions and blue badge spaces near the front of the event parking. Volunteer parking is available within the event parking area. There are no electric vehicle charging points and no cycle racks. Pedestrian access is limited and the closest pedestrian entrance is from Gower Close. The nearest train station is Swindon, at about 4.2 miles by road.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed, and the site is described as suitable for pushchairs. Bag drop and showers are not available. The route is described as wheelchair accessible with assistance and an accessible alternative is signed along the lake. Sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and BSL stage content via QR code are provided to support accessibility.
