Windsor Pretty Muddy 5k : Royal Windsor Racecourse
The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Royal Windsor Racecourse, Off Maidenhead Road, Windsor SL4 5JJ. The route runs between the racetrack and the River Thames with the start and finish on grass. The course surface includes tarmac, hardstanding, grass and gravel; grass sections cannot be avoided and some parts can be narrow.
Participants climb, crawl and slide around a sequence of obstacles and may progress at their own pace. Marshals are stationed on course to assist and to direct people who need to skip an obstacle. Starts are organised in staggered waves, with each wave beginning every 15 minutes; groups should book the same wave time.
Entry rules and ticketing: the main Pretty Muddy event requires participants to be at least 13 years old. There are Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children. Child tickets cover ages 6 to 15 and those children must be registered and accompanied on the day by a parent, guardian or an adult over 18 with parental consent. Children under 6 may attend free when brought by a registered adult but are not registered participants.
Practical information: refreshments, toilets and parking are available on site. Blue badge parking is provided closer to the event entrance and stewards will direct visitors from the main car park. Ground may become muddy or slippery in wet weather and some two-way sections can cause congestion. The organiser provides accessibility information and an on-site team for questions or requirements.
